MOVIE REVIEW:
The last Winnie the Pooh’s theatrical movie
was way back in 2005, "Pooh’s Heffalump Movie".
But you know in the world of Disney, characters never 'die'.
They live on merchandises, straight-to-video features and
of course Disney Channel.
"My
Friends, Tigger & Pooh: Hundred Acre Wood Haunt"
is a typical compilation of Winnie adventures on cable television
aka Playhouse Disney. Consisting of three episodes as per
what the DVD describe: Imagine, Laugh & Learn, it’s
a 72 minutes of fun-learning and if Disney has a way, this
should be the perfect educational material for the little
kiddos in every household.
You
can’t expect the computer generated characters to possess
the quality as those Pixar features but they are sufficient
enough to serve their purpose. At least, children can learn
that lightning is nothing to be afraid of and finding the
perfect house for Eyore is actually not that difficult and
yes, a prized pumpkin needs sunlight to grow etc.
There
are catchy songs, bouncing cute characters such as Piglet,
Tigger and a small quiz at the end of every episode. I don’t
see any reason why you shouldn’t choose this as the
perfect gift for your preschool kids.
It’s
Tigger-ific!
SPECIAL FEATURES :
The bonus features includes an episode of Disney
Handy Manny Halloween special and a game to entertain the
little ones even more.
AUDIO/VISUAL:
The DVD comes with various language tracks
including the original English, Mandarin, Thai, Cantonese,
Spanish, Portuguese and English, Thai, Bahasa, Chinese subtitles.
Just to name a few.
