ANDY LAU and SAMMI CHENG Team Up for BLIND DETECTIVE Theme Song
Hong Kong superstars Andy Lau 刘德华 and Sammi Cheng 郑秀文 will be in Singapore on 26 June to promote their latest collaboration, BLIND DETECTIVE 《盲探》!
Though BLIND DETECTIVE marks Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng’s seventh collaboration, this is the first time the pair is visiting Singapore together for a movie promotional tour. Besides the Meet-the-Fans session at Plaza Singapura, the charismatic pair will also be attending the Press conference at Equarius Hotel® and gracing the Gala Premiere at the Festive Grand™ Theatre of Resorts World® Sentosa!
The theme song of BLIND DETECTIVE, LOVE IS BLIND 《不盲不爱》 is a duet by Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng, with lyrics composed by famous Hong Kong lyricist Lin Xi 林夕.
BLIND DETECTIVE tells a story of Chung See Tun (Andy Lau) who has a strong sense of hearing and smell despite his impaired vision. He met Ho Ka Tung (Sammi Cheng) during a bank robbery case. Knowing that Chung is genius in solving cases, Ho enlists his help in a personal case and Chung decides to take a stab. In order to prepare for his character, Andy Lau attended classes at a training centre with visual-impaired students for six weeks. He was also quoted that his role in BLIND DETECTIVE was one of his most challenging role in his acting career.

ANDY LAU and SAMMI CHENG to promote BLIND DETECTIVE in Singapore
International superstars Andy Lau 刘德华 and Sammi Cheng 郑秀文 will be coming to Singapore on 26 June to promote their latest blockbuster, BLIND DETECTIVE《盲探》. Together with renowned Hong Kong director Johnnie To 杜琪峰, the dream team: Andy Lau, Sammi Cheng and Johnnie To, reunites for the fourth time, working together after their classic hits including NEEDING YOU… 孤男寡女 (2000), LOVE ON A DIET 瘦身男女 (2001) and YESTERDAY ONCE MORE 龙凤斗 (2004).
BLIND DETECTIVE also marks Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng as the on-screen couple of the seventh time!
BLIND DETECTIVE premiered its teaser trailer (http://youtu.be/h_iYMhTNvP4) at the 2013 Hong Kong Filmart in late March and recently held its World Premiere at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival (Midnight Projections category) on 19 May, where Director Johnnie To, Andy Lau and Sammi Cheng were there to grace the event.
