'CATS' WILL HAVE YOU PURRING OR HOWLING

We haven't seen much of Tom Hooper's adaptation of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, so it's natural that we were excited to greet the first trailer of CATS. 

But we must say, we cannot quite get on board this hairball wrangled from transmogrified actors retaining their own noses - and, in some cases, genitals - with dismayingly located tails. 

Oh yes, while the filmmakers would have liked to think that they have transformed humans into cats with incredibly intricate make-up, slinky costumes that seem to blend seamlessly into skin and digital fur, we found it oddly disconcerting.
