Clover Films, Gorylah Pictures and mm2 Entertainment Pte Ltd are excited to announce a new movie production, 2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR.
The franchise 2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR continues to tell horror encounters of camp mates during their army days. This time, the movie features a trifecta of horror stories span over different critical eras in the history of Singapore’s National Service. The various eras will be represented by the iconic uniforms of the time.
Temasek Green centers around three disgruntled conscripts from the maiden intake in 1967 as they escape from training camp but end up trapped in a cursed village instead. Camouflage, set in the 80s, tells the tale about a group of commandos as they confront a series of bizarre incidents in camp after they incur the wrath of a vengeful python spirit. And in the present day, Pixelated, a socially awkward recruit creates a fake girlfriend persona on social media to impress his comrades but unbeknownst to him, his creation will put his life in grave peril.
The movie stars Mark Lee 李国煌 from the original movie, veteran actor Wang Lei 王雷, new generation ‘Ah Boy’ Noah Yap and an ensemble of local talents. Filming has started in late May and is expected to wrap by end of this month. 2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR will be helmed by original director Gilbert Chan陈启全.
2359: THE HAUNTING HOUR is produced by Clover Films, Gorylah Pictures and mm2 Entertainment Pte Ltd and distributed by Clover Films, mm2 Entertainment and Golden Village Pictures in Singapore. The movie with a production budget of SGD$1.5 million, doubling that of 23:59, is slated for release in January 2018.
