Matthew Perry, best known to the world for playing the sarcastic and neurotic Chandler Bing in the hit TV sitcom "Friends" has died at 54 in an apparent drowning accident at his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.
Perry was nominated for an Emmy award five times, once for "Friends" and twice for his role as lawyer Joe Quincy on "The West Wing". Perry also starred in films including "Fools Rush In" with Salma Hayek, "Three to Tango" with Neve Campbell "The Whole Nine Yards" with Bruce Willis, playing the adult version of Zac Efron's character in 17 Again and indie drama, Birds of America opposite Hilary Swank.
His fame has also caused him to have anxiety and pain medication addicitve issues in which he frankly acknowledged in his "Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing: A Memoir" published last year.
