OLD IS GOLD AT THE BOX OFFICE

After just one week at the box week, THE EXPENDABLES 2 has surpassed the total gross of the original. THE EXPENDABLES 2 has raked in a cumulative gross of over $1.88M, surpassing the original's final box office of $1.85M in the same August period in 2010. Industry estimates that the film will finish over $2.5M in the Singapore box office.

The movie has also opened number 1 in the US as well last week, albeit with the sequel earning less than the original in the opening weekend - US$28.59M versus US$34.8M respectively.

Directed by Simon West, the highly anticipated sequel to the August 2010 worldwide box-office success (over US$274M worldwide), THE EXPENDABLES 2 stars Sylvester Stallon, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Terry Crews, Randy Couture, with Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarnegger, with newest cast members Liam Hemworth, Scott Adkins, martial arts legends Chuck Norris and Jean Claude Van Damme, as well as Chinese actress Yu Nan and the first female EXPENDABLE.
