ROBIN WILLIAMS (1951-2014)

One of the best comedians of our time, Robin Williams has died. The cause of death is believed to be suicide via asphyxiation. According to his publicist, who confirmed the news, the actor had been battling depression of late and recently entered 12-step rehab for drug abuse.

Robin Williams' breakout role was being an alien in the hit 70's sitcom, Mork & Mindy. By the early 80's, William has starred in a number of critically acclaimed movies including “Good Morning, Vietnam,” “Dead Poets Society” and “The Fisher King,” all of which garnered him Oscar nominations. His supporting role in "Good Will Hunting" won him his first and only Oscar. 

Williams will also be remembered for his comedic performances in "Patch Adams", "Mrs Doubtfire" and also the romantic fantasy "What Dreams May Come". His years of acting career has seen him working alongside with Hollywood's top directors such as Francis Ford Coppola in "Jack", Steven Spielberg in "Hook", Joe Johnston's "Jumanji" and Christopher Nolan's "Insomnia". Who can forget the genie voice in "Aladdin" and Ramone in "Happy Feet" as well.

Most recently, Williams makes a return to television co-starring with Sarah Michelle Gellar in "The Crazy Ones". Williams was last seen in local cinemas in The Angriest Man In Brooklyn and will next be seen in Night At The Museum 3
