Eunice Olsen, one of the film's producers, plays the lead, a documentary filmmaker, venturing into the underbelly of Cambodia's virginity trade to rescue a young girl taken from her village and sold into prostitution. The story crosses the narrative threads of a disgraced doctor, a foreign journalist, a taxi-driver, a street peddler and a teenage prostitute, as they navigate the socio-economic tensions that allow poverty and other social injustices to flourish.

“3.50” is grounded in thorough research and extensive interviews conducted over an 8 month period. Filmed in Phnom Penh, it is predominantly in Khmer and subtitled in English. The film runs for 107 minutes. Respected Cambodian filmmaker Chhay Bora, whose prior film “Lost Loves” was shortlisted for the 2013 Academy Awards’ pool of 41 best foreign films, directed “3.50” and the film is produced by Silver Media Group and House of Ou Studios; Executive Produced by Chan Gin Kai; Produced by Eunice Olsen and Chhay Bora; Written by our ex-reviewer Justin Deimen.
