SIM WONG HOO (1955 - 2023)
Singapore's most famous tech entrepreneur, Creative Technology founder Sim Wong Hoo has died. He was 67.
Sim has over 30 years put the home-grown brand all around the world with its Sound Blaster sound cards. Creative Technology is also a leader in other cutting edge digital entertainment products such as its MP3 player even before Apple's iPod.
Although Creative has seen its fortunes declined over the decades, it remains a trailblazer with its launch of Super X-Fi in 2019, a technology that allows headphone users to experience sound in expansive, three-dimensional detail, like in real life.
RIP Mr Sim. You have definitely done Singapore proud and we on the other hand have sadly lost a legend.
