Shaw Organisation has announced that the box office figure for SPL 2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES is nearing the S$600,000 mark after just 11 days since its opening.
To the thousands of movie-goers who have supported this brilliant display of martial arts by international action star Tony Jaa and Chinese kung fu masters-turn-actors Wu Jing and Zhang Jin, Shaw would also like to express their heartfelt thanks!

In just four days since its opening, SPL 2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES box office figures hit the S$300,000 mark, shattering the record of an overall S$210,000 taking for Sha Po Lang in 2005.
The earlier SPL starred veteran actors Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung and Simon Yam in an action-packed showdown, but SPL2 proved victorious with a fresh new plot and a stunning display of top-notch martial art moves by international action star Tony Jaa, Wu Jing and Zhang Jin.
Following the impressive lead, SPL2 is expected to reach a final figure of S$800,000.

SPL2 opens to overwhelming response in Hong Kong and China
Hong Kong action thriller SPL 2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES hits home with Chinese audiences as the film saw a whopping RMB 67.7 million (S$14.6 million) first day box office taking in China yesterday (18 June), claiming the NUMBER ONE spot on box office charts, ahead of all other showing titles.
Hong Kong also managed an impressive HKD1.2 million (S$207,100) first day collection. The film stars renowned Chinese martial arts actors Wu Jing and Zhang Jin, alongside Thailand’s well-loved international action star Tony Jaa, in a gripping plot that will excite the senses with explicit visuals and pitch-perfect sound effects, drummed up to create a full-blown experience of top class fighting definitely worth witnessing.

The sequel to the cult hit SPL, SPL 2: A TIME FOR CONSEQUENCES is coming to the screen comes June 2015. While Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung is not in the movie, Tony Jaa, Max Zhang, Louis Koo joins Jacky Wu in this crime action flick.
Undercover cop Kit (Wu Jing) becomes a junkie in order to catch Mr Hung (Louis Koo), the mastermind behind a crime syndicate. When the operation goes sour and Kit blows his cover, his supervisor and uncle Wah (Simon Yam) decides to terminate the operation. When Kit disappears without a trace, Wah defies the order from his commanding officer and tracks Kit to a prison in Thailand. Thai Police officer Chai (Tony Jaa) becomes a prison guard in order to raise money for his daughter who has leukaemia. He’s assigned to keep an eye on Kit. Even though Chai and Kit are in opposing positions and they don’t speak a common language, Kit turns out to be a suitable bone marrow donor who can save Chai’s daughter. While Chai is determined to keep Kit alive, the warden (Zhang Jin) wants him dead to ensure the smooth operation of the prison, which is the front for Mr Hung’s organ trafficking business. Mr Hung shows up in Thailand so he can use his younger brother’s (Jun Kung) heart in a heart transplant to save his own life. The stage is set for a showdown...
